Orlando, we have a queen in the finale. Myki Meeks — one of the most dynamic performers to ever grace a stage in Central Florida — is heading into the RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 18 grand finale on April 17, 2026, and she’s doing it with a trail of broken records behind her.
A Record-Breaking Season
Myki’s run on Season 18 has been nothing short of extraordinary. She is the first contestant in Drag Race herstory to win the last three challenges of a season, heading into the finale with unstoppable momentum. With four challenge wins total, she’s also only the fourth contestant in the entire franchise to place in the top for eight consecutive episodes — joining the company of Season 5 winner Jinkx Monsoon.
Her final pre-finale challenge saw Myki and fellow contestant Darlene Mitchell deliver a performance the judges called flawless, effortlessly balancing snarky banter and bonkers humor to secure their spots in the grand finale.
From Orlando Stages to the World Stage
Before millions of viewers knew her name, Orlando’s drag community already knew Myki Meeks was something special. A self-described “recovering theater kid,” Myki blends glamour with camp in a way that feels entirely her own. She’s known throughout Orlando for her quick wit, ease with a microphone, and the kind of magnetic stage presence that makes it impossible to look away.
Myki was a core member of Off the Record, a Best of Orlando-winning drag night that became one of the most beloved regular events in the city. She also created and hosted The Gig, an Orlando-based drag competition series that premiered on YouTube in 2025, giving a platform to local talent and showcasing the depth of Orlando’s drag scene.
Why Orlando Is Rooting for Myki
There’s something special about watching someone you’ve cheered for at a local bar compete on the biggest stage in drag. Myki represents everything that makes Orlando’s drag community great — creativity, warmth, fearlessness, and an absolute refusal to be anything other than authentically herself. Win or lose on April 17, she’s already made Orlando incredibly proud.
