Gay Orlando: A Visitor’s Guide to LGBTQ+ Nightlife Downtown

Welcome to Orlando — the most-visited city in America, and one of the country’s original gay-travel destinations. Between the theme parks and the convention halls, a lot of visitors never find out where the LGBTQ+ community actually goes out. Here’s the short answer: downtown. If you’re looking for gay Orlando nightlife — drag, Latin nights, dancing, and a welcoming crowd — Anthem is your home base at 100 N Orange Ave, right in the heart of Downtown Orlando.

Where we are (and how easy it is to get here)

Anthem sits in the Church Street / Downtown Orlando entertainment district — the most walkable corner of the city’s nightlife. If you’re staying at a downtown hotel, you can likely walk. Coming from International Drive, the convention center, or the theme-park resorts? It’s a quick 15–20 minute rideshare. We’re also just blocks from Lake Eola, the Kia Center, and the Dr. Phillips Center — so if you’re downtown for a concert, show, or game, we’re your after-party.

There’s something on every night you’re in town

Anthem is open seven nights a week, so whatever night your trip lands on, there’s a reason to come out:

  • Thursdays — Latin night. A beginner-friendly salsa lesson (no partner needed) followed by social dancing, then a late-night Latin drag show.
  • Fridays — drag + Sapphic Fridays. Drag, DJs, and a dedicated night for women, femmes, and sapphic energy.
  • Saturdays — the big dance floor. House and progressive beats that turn downtown electric.
  • Sundays — day party + live sing-alongs. The warm, easygoing reset.
  • Mondays — keep the weekend going. Low-key cocktails and music.

¡Bienvenidos! Bem-vindos! For our international guests

Some of Orlando’s biggest international crowds come from Latin America — and Anthem is where that energy lives after dark. Our Latin nights bring salsa, bachata, reggaetón, and perreo to downtown every week. Si visitas Orlando desde México, Colombia, Puerto Rico o cualquier parte de Latinoamérica, esta es tu pista de baile. Se você está visitando de Brasil, venha dançar com a gente. All are welcome, every night.
